“The church, though begun in the Romanesque style, evolved through the years into the basic Gothic form seen today. Its recessed portal combines both styles, with a round-headed Romanesque door set in Gothic pointed arches. The entry, with its panel of thirteenth-century saints above and unusual sculpture at the top, all tightly framed by buttresses, hints of a Moorish influence: an elaborate access surrounded by simple flanking walls. Gothic crockets enliven the starkness The lofty interior is noted more for its details (retable, two wrought-iron pulpits) than for its Gothic correctness.”
