"The first stage building, containing office space and a hotel on its upper floors, is a steel frame structure sheathed in green reflecting glass.... "The form of the building, which reflects both the internal functional requirements and the zoning restrictions, recognizes the height of the surrounding low buildings with a sloping setback on the north facade and a beveled corner on the south facade. The floor to floor height varies from twelve feet in the office building to nine feet in the hotel section. The top of the building contains a tennis court, the 27th floor a swimming pool and health club, while the ground floor has shops and restaurants." — from Yukio Futagawa, ed.
