"In 2000 the firm of acla:works was formed as a merger of three firms:
- Anthony C. Lewis Associates was founded in 1945
- Gary Turton Associates founding in 1990
- Mark Raymond Associates founded in 1993
"The firm of Anthony C. Lewis Associates was founded by Anthony Lewis in the late forties and beame one of the largest architectural practices in the Caribbean, undertaking major commissions in Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia and Barbados. After the retirement of Anthony Lewis and Elton Milley, Brian Lewis, Ruskin Punch and Louis Ottley became directors. In 1995 the practice suffered the tragic loss of Ruskin Punch.
"Mark Raymond and Gary Turton merged their respective practices with Anthony C. Lewis Associates in 2001 and became directors one yar before the launch of acla:works in June 2002."

The practice draws upon extensive collective expertise derived from experience on a wide range of commercial, residential, urban planning and resort development projects both locally and internationally.
