I am currently working on a history of First Presbyterian Church. This original cornerstone for this building was laid in September 1894, and the structure was dedicated on July 7, 1895. First Presbyterian worshipped here until 1961,when it moved to its newly built structure on nearby Juliana Street. In October 1960, the original cornerstone was removed and the contents taken to the new church structure. I have some original church documents referring to the purchase, construction, and other information about this building. jfaye@fpcparkersburg.org
