"The Santa Catalina Isthmus connects the peninsula of La Isleta to the main island of Gran Canaria. The masterplan integrates the working harbour to the east and the beach to the west through extensive landscaping and the development of offices, residential buildings, a hotel and commercial areas. This regeneration programme will encourage commercial enterprise and reinstate Las Palmas as a key tourist destination."
